Startup Artifact Uprising Generated Millions Using Pinterest
SUCCESS FROM ONE VIRAL PIN!
Artifact Uprising was producing photo books and selling them from a small basement in the city of Denver.
They were using Pinterest for a while when one of their pins took off, or what people call “went viral”. Their pins produced 48,000 clicks from Pinterest to their website – this was all organic traffic i.e. without any paid advertising!
They did not need to spend money on advertising!
This story shows how just using your knowledge of the platform, in this case how users save pins of products they later buy on Pinterest, can be leveraged for huge success.

5. Create Eye-catching Pins
All of the businesses that are successful using Pinterest create visually striking pins.
So how can you do that?
You don’t have to be a design graduate – you can use templates which will make it fast and easy to do.
One option is to use CANVA. This is a design program, packed with free templates for designing your own PINS. You don’t have to worry about getting dimensions correct if you use the preloaded templates.
You can easily upload your own photos, or browse their extensive photo library. Changing fonts and colours to match your branding takes a few seconds and there are also loads of other templates for social media channels like Facebook and Instagram. You can also use Canva to design leaflets, ti-shirts and book covers!

The other great thing about CANVA is that it is completely free!
